Trip Report November 10th, 2012: Fort Saskatchewan

The trails are all tracked and rolled and groomed in my home town!  The roads out of Fort Saskatchewan are horrendous so the first trip report is local. Hopefully the freeways will be sanded and safe later this week.
The trip was short but so beautiful.  Considering that it takes a little longer to have ski-able terrain set when living on the plains next to a major city, I feel especially blessed to be able to go out for this trip so early in the season.  The weather was a little on the chilly side at -14C and I stuck with a green Toko grip wax on the new snow.  Round trip distance may have been about 3km, just the perfect amount for warming up the leg muscles.
